In line with this, moneylenders and digital lending platforms across the country are reminded of the mandatory annual renewal of their operational licences, a requirement that has become increasingly standardised across most states in Nigeria.  The operational licences of moneylenders and digital lenders in most Nigerian states particularly in Lagos and Abuja are now deemed to expire on the 31st of December each year.
